POLLY'S PLAYROOM

{ABOUT THE PROVIDERS}

My name is Chanda J. and I would like to thank you for visiting our webhome. I opened the doors to my home on October 17th, 2005 in the hopes of providing a safe nurturing place for children to learn and grow when parents are away at work and school. While I understand that it is a difficult decision to leave your child with someone else we at Polly’s Playroom strive to create a family like atmosphere that you can trust and rely on.

I initially went to Temple University with the hopes of becoming a social worker but GOD had other plan for me. I received my Child Development Associate in 2006 and hope to graduate in May 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

While the majority of my time is spent lesson planning and studying I do enjoy a few hobbies. My favorite pastime include crafting, sewing, reading anything by Dean Koontz, DIY project, and watching HGTV (I think in my next life I would like to be an interior decorator).

As I pursue my dreams of becoming the very best family daycare provider, I am very blessed to have the full support of my friends and family. My daycare assistant is my wonderful sister Wanakee and you can read more about her below.

My name is Wanakee Charles I am glad that you have decided to check out Polly’s Playroom’s website. I am currently the assistant here. I love being able to work with children and watching them develop. The children here know me as Ms. KeeKee (saying Wanakee is a hard for the little ones). I have been working here full time since I had my son in 2007.

I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2004 with a degree in Psychology. My focus was on child development. I enjoy studying children and learning more about how they learn and develop. I am currently working on becoming a certified instructor for other daycare providers; I want to be able to pass on knowledge that will be beneficial to the children.

When I am not Ms. KeeKee, I like to spend time with my family. I love any type of games, puzzles and crafts. I love crafting; right now I am in to T-Shirt designs and sewing. I also enjoy spending time with my sorority sister.

I look forward to continuing my education and being the best child care provider. I am constantly learning and finding new ways to pass on this desire to the children.
